Hey! First of all, we’re more than just an eco-friendly, natural chalk range designed for climbers who care about the planet. Our mission extends far beyond providing top-quality climbing products. We are dedicated to building a community of passionate individuals who share our commitment to preserving the environment and making a significant impact.

Our Vision

We have an ambitious long-term goal: through direct charitable activity, we hope to improve the environment and the health of the oceans. Your help will enable us to truly impact the declining situation, positively. With the support of each individual that joins us, we can accomplish great things in advancing our objective.

Mental Health Support

Chalky Jugs aspires to eventually, in the future, be a pillar of support within the climbing community and surrounding sports for mental health. The aim would be to provide people with discreet and confidential services where our volunteers can be reached by phone, or text, to talk about current problems. We know first hand how difficult life can be, and that if you are struggling, it’s not quite as easy as "getting up and going to see someone." In reality, it can be hard to chat face to face, and so we want to bring together a space where that isn't necessary. How you feel matters to us and we want to be available to listen and to support in some way, if you'd wish. Climbing can be a great way to decompress, find some mental clarity, hey, maybe even find some new friends. All of which can help us get through the most difficult times in life. You don't have to suffer alone.

Our Online Shop

Our online store will provide a variety of products from ourselves, alongside featuring various products from other companies in the climbing and outdoor industry, aiming towards our peers with smaller businesses, with fantastic products which deserve the lime-light as much as the big brands. Expect to discover: sleeping bags, cooking equipment, carabiners, clothing, tents, chalk bags, and numerous other items. We will be launching our own line of branded goods, which will include t-shirts, accessories, jewellery, scented chalk, bags and other items. We've been brainstorming new ideas to expand our product line, and we're looking forward to seeing where it takes us as time passes. These will be crafted from ethically sourced, natural materials, perfect for keeping your holds clean and your climbs sustainable. We like to think that the majority of our branded items are ever lost during your adventures, those eco-friendly purchases will eventually decompose over time, leaving no trace.

Community and Charity Work

Not only do we want to register our own charity, but we intend to engage our community and company in physical charitable endeavours in the future. We want to collaborate with others to raise awareness and funds, so we can donate to selected charities that we're currently supporting within the given cycle. All contributions will be made under the Chalky Jugs Family name, guaranteeing that our combined efforts have a noticeable effect. In addition to crowdfunding and building a registered Chalky charity, which will contribute to the global and oceanic clean-up in phases, we aim to create our own exhibitions, with our own people, to assist further in the values we hold close to our heart.

Eco-friendly Initiatives

Did you know that more and more climbers are making conscious choices to protect our planet? As a community, we’re doing some amazing things to ensure our natural playgrounds stay pristine:

• Over 75% of climbers now participate in clean-up efforts, leaving no trace and picking up litter on trails and climbing sites.
• Thanks to eco-conscious choices, climbers have helped reduce water bottle waste by opting for reusable hydration solutions, preventing millions of plastic bottles from entering our ecosystems each year.
• Solar-powered gear is gaining popularity among climbers. From solar chargers for essential devices like phones and GPS units to eco-friendly lanterns and cooking equipment, these sustainable solutions help reduce our carbon footprint on expeditions.

Our first chalk product is ethically sourced and made from 100% Magnesium Carbonate. You can expect to see a mixed range of Magnesium Carbonate with  Calcium Carbonate for better grip too. Samples will be available soon, and you can order them for £0.00 with a small shipping surcharge.

We're working on sourcing biodegradable packaging that embodies the Chalky Jugs style and values. Please bear with us if the initial packaging feels a bit DIY.
